Looking for a great source of local vegetables? Our CSA offers 20 weeks of certified organic vegetables in Jefferson County, WV.
Community Supported Agriculture (aka CSA) is a partnership between a local farm and the CSA members who buy a “share” of the harvest for the season. Because a huge amount of a farm’s yearly expenses happen before the growing season begins, and thus before we can expect any income, CSA members play a crucial role each year by paying for their share before the growing season begins. This helps the farm pay for the supplies and seeds we need to get started. In return, our CSA members will receive twenty weekly shares of fresh vegetables grown on the farm and picked at the peak of flavor.
The goal of our CSA is to provide every member household with a plentiful, but not overwhelming, selection of produce each week. While share size will vary week to week, you will receive the full value of your share over the course of the season. As we select and pack each share, our primary considerations will be quality, variety, and appropriate quantities of the items included.
Example shares:
- Spring share (ie, June): 1 bunch of radishes, 1 bag of salad mix, 1 bunch of kale, 1 bunch of carrots, 1 pint of snap peas
- Summer share (ie, August): 1 pint of cherry tomatoes or several slicing tomatoes , 2 cucumbers, 1 bunch of swiss chard, 2 bell peppers or eggplant, 1 quart of green beans, 1 bunch of basil

2023 Share Pricing: $480 for 20 weeks of vegetables
The CSA will run from Friday, June 2 until Sunday, October 15, 2023. Members can choose to receive the full 20-weeks of shares or can choose to pay $432 for 18 weeks. The 18-week option allows each member household to choose 2 “vacation” weeks during which they will not receive (or pay for!) their share.

Pick-up Options:
Please note our CSA is only available for pick up in Jefferson County, WV. CSA shares will not be available for distribution at our farmers markets.
Option 1: On Farm Pick-up: Shares will be available to pick up on our farm on Engle Molers Rd near the intersection with Kidwiler Rd on Fridays 4:30-7:00pm. The first pick-up date will be Friday, June 2, 2023 and the final pick-up date will be Friday, October 13, 2023.
Option 2: Shepherdstown Farmers Market Pick-up: Shares can be picked up at our stand at the Shepherdstown Farmers Market on Sundays from 9am-1pm. The first pick-up date will be Sunday, June 4, 2023 and the final pick-up dates will be Sunday, October 15, 2023.
